Day 1: Nairobi

Airport pick up and transfer to hotel

Day 2: Nairobi – Aberdares

08:00: Hotel pick up and depart for Aberdares passing through the industrial town of Thika and the intensely cultivated farms of the central Kenya. Lunch at the Outspan Hotel Nyeri before transferring to hotel. The Aberdares ranges lie at an altitude of 2,134 to 4,268 meters. It is home to the first tree hotel in Africa.

Day 3: Aberdares – Lake Nakuru

After breakfast we head west, down the Great Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru, world-famous for its concentration of millions of pink flamingos, game tracking en route to the lodge for lunch lodge. In the afternoon we take a leisurely game drive around the lake, looking out for lion, leopard, giraffe, gazelle, waterbuck, buffalo, zebra and plenty of other plains game. We will also visit the White Rhino Sanctuary.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru / Masai Mara

After breakfast we depart for Masai Mara, one of East Africa’s most famous reserves. The Mara consists of undulating hills and great rolling grasslands that sustain some of the most varied wildlife in Africa, if not the world. Game spotting as we enter the park, heading for lunch at lodge. Afternoon game viewing, where lion, elephant, cheetah, giraffe, buffalo, wildebeest, gazelle and other plains game abound, not forgetting the hundreds of species of birds.

Day 5: Masai Mara

The whole day is dedicated to game spotting in this sprawling reserve. You can watch a lion, cheetah or leopard hunting or feasting on its kill. Option of a visit to a Masai village or hot air balloon ride which departs at 06:00 and ends with champagne breakfast on the plains. What an exhilarating and unforgettable experience!

Day 6: Masai Mara / Nairobi

Early breakfast and out for a morning game drive to hunt for game that we’ve not so far spotted. Lunch will be in the lodge, after which we leave for the Kenyan capital, driving through awe-inspiring landscapes of the Rift Valley. Arrive in Nairobi and check into hotel. In the evening, indulge at the famous Carnivore restaurant, renowned for its succulent steaks, including game meat.

Day 7: Nairobi / Amboseli

After breakfast we head south to Amboseli national park, game spotting as we enter the park. We check in and lunch at lodge or similar. Afternoon game viewing in the park, where we can also view the snows of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest in Africa.

Day 8: Amboseli

Full day game drive in this magnificent park, right at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro. In the early morning, chance of spotting the snow on its two peaks, Mawenzi and Kibo. Game here include cape buffalo, hippo, gazelle, hartebeest, zebra, wildebeest, lion, cheetah, herds of elephant and plenty of other plains game.

Day 9: Amboseli – Namanga / Ngorongoro

After breakfast, we head north-west to Namanga border: customs / immigration formalities and continue to Ngorongoro, with lunch en route.

Day 10: Ngorongoro

After breakfast, we descend into the world-famous Ngorongoro crater to view the hundreds of species of game and birds. With our picnic lunch from the lodge, we have plenty of time to explore this natural wonder.

Day 11: Ngorongoro / Serengeti

After breakfast, we drive further north to Serengeti National Park, game viewing as we enter the park. Check in and lunch at lodge. Afternoon game drive in the park, which is a natural extension of the plains of Masai Mara in Kenya.

Day 12: Serengeti / Arusha

Early morning game drive to watch the predators hunt. This is when the herbivores congregate around the water holes to quench their thirst, hence becoming easy prey for the big cats. After breakfast we depart for Arusha, with lunch en route.

Day 13: Arusha – Taveta / Tsavo West

After breakfast, we leave for Taveta border: customs/immigration formalities and continue to Tsavo West National park. Tsavo is the largest park in Kenya, and is split into East and West by the Nairobi / Mombasa highway. Arrive at lodge for lunch. Afternoon game tracking in the park.

Day 14: Tsavo West / Tsavo East

After breakfast, we depart for Tsavo East with game en route arriving at lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, game viewing, looking out for lion, buffalo, cheetah, giraffe, gerenuk, gazelle and large herds of elephant.

Day 15: Tsavo East / Mombasa

Early morning game drive to observe animals as they head to the water holes and the swamps to quench their thirst. It’s also the time when the big cats are on the hunt. Back to the lodge for breakfast, after which we depart for Mombasa, game spotting en route, arriving at our coastal beach resort for lunch.

Day 16 – 20: Mombasa

Five complete days on the coast of Mombasa, where you can relax, enjoying the hotel facilities. Optional excursions to spice up your stay here include: Mombasa city tour, full day snorkeling, day or evening dhow trip, visit to historic Malindi, visit villages to observe, learn and participate in some of the local activities: lifestyles, culture and traditions.

Day 21: Mombasa / Nairobi

Depending on your flight schedule, you’ll be transferred to Mombasa airport for your domestic flight to connect on your home-bound flight in Nairobi and where your safari ends.
